About the artist

Bill Crane started shooting art photography in 1976. He has never used professional models but chooses his subjects from people he meets in his travels. His early work focused on "moody" thoughtful looks in a natural wooded background. Later he added costuming and makeup to create a more "fantasy" look featuring elves and other woodland mythological creatures. Today, with the ability to "shrink" his subjects with digital art, he is producing photographs based on fairies and sprites.
